What's your impression of it? Is the lamp user replacable? Have you had the bulb replaced yet? I just bought a used one and the manual says nothing about replacing the bulb. At 6000 hours, it's not a big deal, but it could be.

Changing a bulb is easy but if you don't know what your doing get your dealer to do it. Its a very quick job and if your buying a lamp from them im sure they'll fit it for minimum charge or for free.

The reason its not in the manual is the same as why the remote factory access codes aren't there.:)

In its day the D30H was a very good little PJ and around top of the food chain in its class. I imagine it still performs admirably and throws a nice image.

I bought a demo Domino 30H a year ago from a local dealer with about 80 hours on it. It was a fraction of the price when new. The projector throws a beautiful picture with rich colors and plenty of "pop". I now have about 560 hrs after a year so even at half the life expectancy the lamp will last, about 5 years, or until I am ready to upgrade to 1080p, next week:D. The lamp should change out similarly to other projectors. The DCDi processing works great on non HD sources. All in all I am very happy with my purchase.

Wolfie, If you have any questions PM me and I will see if I can help.

Thanx guys. I really appreciate the info. Now I have to find a SIM dealer close by to check on the lamp issue because a 6000 hour bulb will only last me around two years.

Do you really watch your projector over 8 hours a day, seven days a week? Man, I don't have that much time or viewing material that I want to see. Search the web, you will find replacement lamps. The bulb modules are relatively expensive from what I remember.
Good luck

Actually, bguzman, for a 6000 hr bulb the price is quite competitive.

Where did you locate one? The lowest I could find was about $600. Who knows what kind of projector that will buy in two or three years. I might put that cash towards the eventual upgrade.
