I have a 12GB USB 2.0 flash drive from Verbatim and I was wondering if any one has tried using a large USB plug to small USB plug adapter to have the HF-100 record to this type of drive?

Besides being really ugly, it would block your viewfinder and I don't think the HF-100 will let you record if the Flash card door is open (which you wouldnt be able to close with that thing sticking out). I always forget to close it and you get flashing warnings on the screen.

16GB cards can be had for less than $70 and 8gb cards for about half that, I would consider going that route instead.
