Hello all,

Recently I was given a new (well, the box was never opened) Movie Poster Marquee box, with Chaselights and everything. I was very excited, and tried to figure out what company made it. For the life of me, I can't seem to find out who made this thing.

It looks very much like the Bass Premier Series Marquee (see image)

The problem I have is that that I'm looking for replacement bulbs, and the ones that BASS uses are 7 watt bulbs at 120Volts. The bulbs in the current marquee are 5 watts at 24 volts. The folks at Bass were kind enough to send over some 7 volt bulbs for me to try, and they didn't work. So I'm stumped, I can't figure out who made this thing, and I can't seem to find any place that makes / sells 24volt/5 watt mini bulbs.

Does anyone have any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I did a quick search and found several 5 watt 24 volt bulbs. The critical piece of the puzzle is the base. Can you post a close up picture of the base of the bulb.

I'm guessing your lightbox looks like this one:

This thread has the info you need on the bulbs:

Holy Cats! Thankyou!!! I've been searching on the net for weeks. I've found tons of 24volt bulbs, but not the right size...it's a screw in base. And I got mine from someone who worked at Hollywood Video as well, she had it in her garage, and was going to toss it, and asked us if we wanted it...

Thanks again for the find! I love this forum!

Glad I could help. I'll bet Sid is probably thinking he should start manufacturing these again after so many people have called him.
