View Full Version : Am I the only excited for Viva Pinata 2?
Cygnus311 05-14-08, 02:59 PM I was pumped when I saw this announcment from Major Nelson on the Marketplace yesterday. I'm a grown, married man, and not afraid to admit that Viva Pinata is honestly one of the best games on 360. The next one looks to be adding a lot of cool stuff and is only a few months away.
Daekwan 05-14-08, 03:13 PM I love this game. Will definitely pick it up.
Slordak 05-14-08, 03:53 PM Don't worry, you're not the only one.
Both myself and my wife are looking forward to seeing this title, particularly since it seems to support at least some amount of simultaneous co-operative play. I think the previous game got a "bum rap" from a lot of people who feel that a game isn't a game unless guns are involved.

This is classic example of the old mo-ped analogy. Fun as hell to ride until your friends see you on it. (Large woman analogy too). I too, am looking forward to Viva Pinata 2
lynesjc 05-14-08, 05:39 PM Chewnicorn FTW!!!
ahartig 05-14-08, 05:45 PM yes
mboojigga 05-14-08, 06:26 PM My kids are excited about it and Banjo
darklordjames 05-14-08, 06:34 PM I really, really want Viva Pinata to hurry up and show up on my DS, but I will settle for VP2 if I have to.
Cygnus311 05-14-08, 09:14 PM I can't help but laugh at how shallow people can be that won't play a game because of it's title or colorful characters. Seriously, get over yourselves. You don't know what you're missing. VP1 actually was far too complex for a child to do much beyond 10% of the game.

Just trying to infuse some humor, relax. I tried the demo out and thought it was aright. Hey, I played the crappola outta pikmin and got hazed pretty bad by my roomates at the time.
Nate Moore 05-15-08, 12:38 AM Are you kidding? Viva is the ONLY game I have all 1000 points on. I have a buzzlegum which is like 6 months old GAME TIME. Yeah, I'm looking forward to this...
I'm really excited as well! Loved the first one. I am sort of sad that they didn't add user controlled battles to the game a la Pokemon. That's the one thing I feel it's missing.
munkyxtc 05-15-08, 06:48 AM I like this game but my gf loves it -- Its the primary reason she picked up the xbox controller.
wokisan 05-15-08, 06:52 AM Everyone in our house (including me) is anxiously awaiting VP2.
Moosebox 05-15-08, 08:09 AM My girlfriend and I need to finish the first one...or atleast play it for a bit longer (we only have about 300-400 achievements so there's quite a bit more to do in it I would think). Hopefully by then we can find this gem in the cheap box or used at blockbuster, not that I wouldn't pay full price for it.
I just hope they increase the garden size by a lot though, it's not nice to have a space/size limit in an open world design game.
Looking forward to it.
The co-op ability will be a nice plus so I can play it with my 6 year old daughter!
wuzup101 05-15-08, 03:42 PM Can't wait... I'm not sure what I'm more excited about... Gears2 or VP2 :)
- Yeah I know, I'm a grown man... but VP was SOOOOOOO.... addictive!
Cygnus311 05-15-08, 10:42 PM According to this interview, the garden won't be any bigger, but you'll be able to put a lot more in it. Kinda surprised it won't be any bigger. Oh well.

That's disappointing -- that was one area where they could easily increase the fun level of the game. The relatively small size was one of the things that I didn't like in VP1. On that note; however, I was reading the official info over at the xbox website and it sounds like your save data from VP1 will import into VP2 and your pinatas etc will be playable in the 2nd version [in addition to new varieties].
That's good news for anyone who spend a lot of time getting a wildcard pinata, you get to display again.
Rhoniel Kase 09-21-08, 06:00 PM Hi all,
Ok since Viva Pinata 2 is out, whats the word on the street? Is it as good or better than the original?
I have never played original VP so I was wondering if I should get the first one or this new release?
Thanks
Cygnus311 09-21-08, 06:33 PM This one is great. It would be a total waste of money to get the first. 2 has 100% of what 1 has plus more. That is literally nothing in 1 that is not in 2.
jrogacki 09-22-08, 08:51 AM The Vision Camera Integration is terrible. The game itself is perfect though.
