Hi,

I have searched and found one similar thread, but my problem is a bit different.

I am currently using the DV400 with the HDMI-DVI converter as my tv doesn't have HDMI, and I have loaded the firmware which enables HDMI-DVI. This is all working fine.

However, I get serious glitches in the picture, every 5-10 minutes. It freezes for a millisecond, then goes on playing.

I tested using the component input, in 576p, and I get the same results. I even exchanged the DVD player for a new unit, and still the same results.

Due to the fact that it happens both of HDMI and component (RCA) cables, I don't think it is the HDMI cable or the DVI converter.

What could be causing this?

I get Glitches or Flickers when I tried to use 1080i on my Grand Vega. I set it to 720p and let the TV do the final upconvert and everything looks great. I am also using a HDMI-DVI cable.

I would suggest setting the resolution to a lower setting over the HDMI-DVI connection and seeing if that works.

It also could be your TV.

I get this over component too, but only with progressive scan, not with interlace.

Tell me more, what could be the matter with the TV? I have to admit it is not a high end unit :( (Sansui).

Do you have a Progressive Scan TV?

If not I would believe that you can only run and Interlaced resolution.

You need one of the TV Gurus to help you. I'm just an average guy with average equipment.

Sorry.
