Had a quick question. I recently swapped a hard drive from my previous Xbox 360 (which did not have an HDMI port) to a new 360 (which has a HDMI port). At first I thought nothing of it, but now I'm concerned that the Hard Drive requires some programming of some sort to recognize that the system it is in has an HDMI port. Since I don't yet have an HDTV, I can't check whether the HDMI port is functional. Can anyone tell me if this Hard Drive switch will render the HDMI port on the new 360 inoperable, or whether it should work fine even with the old hard drive? Thanks.

No issues at all. You can move ther HDD between the different versions.

Only caveat, I believe, is that if you downloaded any Live Arcade games on your old console, you now have to be logged on to Xbox Live with your gamertag to play them.

jremy510 is correct.
Call MS support and ask to speak to a supervisor. They'll be able to initiate a transfer of your DRM licenses from your old console to your new one. After that you'll have to re-download the content & arcade games having issues, and it should work just fine. The whole process can take up to a month, and they'll usually call you when the transfer is complete.
