So I have recently become a new G90 owner, however the unit has a bad DF board according to Sony.
When I power the unit on it powers up, however the bulbs don't fire. I have little experience with pj's of this type so any help would be great.
I have read a few other threads and I will try to re-seat the board and check the connections around it, but at this point I wonder if it's just worth trying to sell it instead of repairing it, or just have someone else fix it instead of me dealing with it. I live in Los Angeles, Ca.
I currently have a JVC-RS1 and I am happy with so I'm not sure if it's worth all the trouble. What do you guys think? I need help deciding which way to go with this.

Oh, by the way, the unit has under 2000 hours on it and it came out of a house in Beverly Hills.

Short of Sony in Ca (who will charge you insane prices to look at the set/boards), I think I'm the only guy here that has a working G90 test chassis to test and repair boards in. If you want to send me your DF board to test and repair, shoot me an email to curtpalme@shaw.ca.

There are very few people out there that have worked on G90s, so you'll get very little assistance from anyone, not because we don't want to, but because your failure hasn't happened before. Check the error code LED on the set and confirm that you do have a bad DF and I can test/repair it for you if you want.

Let me know if you want to sell the YA board. I have to replace one for a client.

fuseman13 , I should have a spare G90 DF board available from my parts stock. I'll check.

[EDIT] confirmed !
