Im having issues with the PS3 connecting with the projector using HDMI cables. This only happens sometimes. After playing a game for about 30-60 minutes then quiting the game to go to the menu, the projector loses the hdmi connection completely and goes to the blue screen with no signal. The signal would return within 5-10 minutes sometimes even less. The signal is lost only when quiting a game. Somestimes when turning on the PS3 theres no signal at all. Has anyone had any issues like this with the PS3 using HDMI cables?
Would a HDMI equalizer/repeater fix this? Im only running 15Ft cables

Even at 15ft, if you use a poor quality hdmi cable, you can have issues. With older projectors and displays, there are some sync issues. My first suggestion is make sure the firmware is updated on the ps3. Also, is your projector 1080p capable? If not, make sure that you only have one resolution checked for the output from the ps3. The resolution change causes a resync and this may also be relevant to your issue. If none of these solutions work, then a repeater will possibly help, but this is a 50/50 chance. Good luck!
thanks for a responce.
The cables are from Monoprice and i would say they are good quality. The
PS3s firmware is also up to date. I have already tried setting the signal to one resolution but that didn't work. I was thinking its probably my Projectors firmware, but ive seen people with the same setup and firmware as me and their ps3s work fine.
Any more help?
