Just got a brand new, 42 inch LG PG20, 720p Plasma. Looks great, but with a catch. When I have it in the standard 16:9 format, at the top of the picture, there is a extremely small, yet annoying squiggly hortizontal line that appears to be some of the pixels from the bottom of the screen that are now at the top of the picture. The only way to remedy this is to use the zoom feature so that the picture fills up the screen, but I obviously don't always want to have it on zoom.
I've tried to fiddle with all of the picture functions, but to no avail. Is this a function of the TV or a function of my cable? When I put in a DVD, that line isn't there, so I assume maybe it is my cable and not the actual TV.
I have an HD Cable box (Comcast) that is hooked up with just the standard cords. Do I need to call my cable company or is it somthing I can remedy? Would it make a difference if I hooked up my cable box to the TV using a HDMI cable, or will that not matter since my cable box is already an HD one?
I asked a guy at Best Buy (where I bought it) and his answer was simply 'call the cable company'. Thoughts?
Also, do I need an HDMI cable to hook up my Playstation 3? I tried using the standard AV cables and I only get sound, no picture.
Thanks for your help!
