I have a Dish Vip 722 receiver downstairs. My Panasonic plasma is upstairs. I haven't measured the exact distance but I'm assuming it is less than 100 feet. Should I a 100 feet HDMI cable (with a booster?) or should I get one of those HDMI to cat5 converter boxes? Thanks.

running a 100 foot cable vs an extender will be almost in the same price range with the 100 foot all you get is 100ft but with extender you can always go the max in the future here is the 100 foot cable http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/30M-100FT-ATLONA-HDMI-CABLE-WITH-ACTIVE-AMPLIFICATION.-HDMI-1.3-p-16811.html and here is the extender http://www.lenexpo-electronics.com/Atlona-1080p-HDMI-Extender-over-Single-Cat5-up-to-200ft-NEW-p-17468.html
