Hope this isn't too stupid a question. I have searched quite a bit and can't find a definitive answer to this but I need to find new power cables which have an L in them so they fit closer to the wall. I have seen some that RCA do and also a couple of flat cords by Accoustic Research, but I am not sure if these would be fine to work with all TV's - there aren't many details on them where I have seen them. So are most plasma and LCD power cords the same and are you safe to buy something like this?

Basically the situation is that I have recently moved into a new home where they put in 2 flat panel prewires including the outlet being behind the TV. I have put the TV's up using Peerless mounts, but even with the larger bracket it is still close to the wall for the standard cords that come with the TV's. They are both being pinched and are pushing the back of the TV in a bit, so really need to get something.
