why not get a projector? You don't even need an all in one anymore. I found a pair of Altec Lansing speakers at walmart for 15 bucks, sound decent. Now that would be a business trip to remember!

I just picked up Conan on the super cheap.....another reasonable hack and slasher. Assasins Creed is sub $20 at GameFly. IHMO Viking and Condemned are too much, sub $20 and I buy in.

Viking is a great game. I'm about 1/3rd through it on a rental, but I'll buy new for $30.

LOL I worked out of town for 6 years, in fact I stayed in the same hotel room, I only went home on the weekends..I spent as much time gaming as I did working...those huge gaming nights are over now as I'm home every night with the wife and kids...man she must have been busy while I was laid up in the hotel having fun:D

29.99 looks to be a universal price drop. This is now the regular price for this game. Fry's usually goes one step further with their special holiday sales.

The only think I was not a fan of was the new QTE crap added to the fights, but I really hate any QTE in games so thats probably not going to bother others.

Its funny, I have my $10 gift card since CoD4, and nothing has appealed to me yet either. I just realized that I could buy a rechargable battery pack for $11.99, thus instead of buying a game, maybe that is what I will do. I was so tempted to get Condemed from CC for $14.99 though.

if you haven't played condemned 1, it is a great game....especially for $15. It isn't quite on the level of Bioshock, but it is close. The graphics, environment and atmosphere make for a truly chilling game.

I've been playing and reading about videogames for over twenty years, and I've never heard the term QTE once. Just what is it?

Edit - Nevermind, Wikipedia explained it. I've played several prominant games that use this such as Indigo Prophecy and had still never heard of the term...

QTE doesnt bother me, i loved shenmue and enjoyed indigo prophecy.

It's okay when used sparingly (like Shenmue), but too many games use it way too much, and it just feels cheap because the game is taking over whenever something really awesome happens.

I played Viking, got through the first island, it was okay but after a session I felt like I just got a lobotomy. Still, I'll probably rent it again to knock out some achievements.
