I have recently moved, I realized after my move, my BG808s raster size for red tube is bigger than Green and Blue. How do I adjust the size on Red to match the green and blue? Thanks.

Zhonda 05-19-08, 08:14 PM I have noticed more on the width part, but I believe both needs to be adjusted. Thanks. Ile 05-20-08, 04:24 AM Check first that all deflection yokes are pulled front, against tubes bell. Width coils are in small board connected to mobo, it can be seen between deflection boards. Use non ferrous driver for adjustment. Zhonda 05-20-08, 08:48 AM Sorry for asking such a simple question. I opened the projector up and find red deflection yoke to be some what loose on Red. How do I tighten it? So do I want to pull this all the way front toward lens or toward the back of the projector or it should somewhat in between? Is it SAFE to touch/adjust this deflection yoke while the projector is running, I know there is some high voltage stuff inside the projector, just want to be safe. Thanks. Curt Palme 05-20-08, 08:49 AM Push all the way forward and use the screw clamp to snug the yoke. Don't overtighten. For a newbie, I'd turn the set off while working on it. The yoke also rotates the image, so it needs to be on straight. Zhonda 05-20-08, 09:34 AM I made the adjustment (pushed deflection yoke all the way forward and dead center). I believe my problem is mostly fixed. I will go through the installation procedure again later today and report back my findings. I did realize most of electronic adjustment is on the extreme side (10s and 90s) to make the convergence and geometry. Should I set all the electronic setting to mid point and do a mechanical adjustment first? From what I can see my raster is scanning into the forbidden area, but the actual image is not, should I be concerned about this? Thanks. Curt Palme 05-20-08, 11:20 AM The internal test pattern usually is slightly over the face of the tube. THe actual image will not be. That's normal. |
