I am about to order some theater seats and narrowed down this exhausting process to a couple of designs. One of them is the Berkline 45013. I was about to order a different Berkline model until I ran across a picture of these and they really look a tad more refined/elegant if you will. I know that seat comfort is really the only thing that matters in the end though.
I've read a few user comments on these and are mostly positive but haven't seen anything on these from avs members.
If you have some personal experience with these...please share. I don't have the luxury of a personal demo where I live. :(
The other Berkline group that I am eyeing is the popular 45003 line. I know this may sound weird but in some pics these don't look that great. Kind of look on the puffy side for a lack of a better phrasing. ;) :D
Neck support is key for me...chairs don't have to be the tallest in the world but need to offer some neck support. Here's some pics of the 45013 group. And it's not the lights below the seat that attracts me. They look more seamless?

Any personal experiences with these chairs would be helpful and most appreciated!
Thanks! :)
Tim,
I would love to see anyone who would say that they really liked the 45013 group. As for me, and I have tested all Berkline recliners, as I told you before this groups would be very close to the bottom on my list in terms of comfort. There is no head support whatsoever on these recliners. And these are comfort rest recliners. Most people prefer chaise design...

Roman what are the most comfortable in your book? I've only sat in the 090s, and I think the 099s not 100% that was the model.
Don,
The most comfortable recliner I have ever sat in would Berkline 45002. It felt like I was seating in a hammock. The powered headrest gave me ability to adjust my headrest to any position I'd like. But I would never buy this chair for myself (I am 6' tall) because these chairs have 45" high back. They will certainly block my surround sound. Unless you putting them in the living room with no surround sound or against the back wall with the surround sound speakers up high or you are 6'4" or taller these recliners are not going to be a good fit. I am also not crazy about how the 45002 look.
Among the chairs that will fit average folks around 6' tall like me I really like the new 12000 group. The 13175 is a nice and comfortable chair and has smaller footprint, so for those who are looking to put more chairs in smaller rooms this may be a good choice.
The 45003 is great chair and I like it very much. It is based on the 45090, but has a different back with better head support, storage compartments in the wedge armrests and aluminum cup holder inserts.
The new Private Collection seating is in a different league. These are my favorite today especially if you are looking to add the buttkickers. They are extremely comfortable have features like storage compartments or hideaway cup holders and wireless buttkickers with individual seat control technology.
I hope this helps.

wow, i actually just bought a berkline, after much delibarting and my parents insisting that i get something less recliner-like and more modern (which unfortuantely costs alot more....so no Eams Chair for me).
Anyhow, the Berkline i got was a good compromise between asthetics and comfort (and price).
I forget what the model was called, and sadly because it was going in the corner i couldnt get the rocker version (helps for getting perfect pitch when sitting in a non-reclined position), but i still feel as if it will be very comfortable and perfect for head and back support spots.
.....but seriously, if i could have i would have bought an Eams chair in a second if it was thousands of moneys......

Get something in the 12000 group. Just make sure you get one of these for the wife :) :

jagmonster,
You cannot unfortunately to do right for both of you by just picking one specific style. It also depends whether you putting the seating in the dedicated room with several rows of seats of in the living room where the environment is different. Surround sound speakers placement and chairs placement will also affect the seating choice.
Give me a call and we will chat...

That booster seat just might be the answer, on a hi-chair in the corner. Roman, Will email a picture of my family room setup and talk to ya sometime soon. Would like to get this decision done by june10th. What kind of lead time are we looking at on a custom order???
