HP MD5880N TV Light Engine Color Wheel Problem?
Bought my HP (LG) along with another smaller 32" HP (Actually Sharp AQUOUS) June 2006. In Nov 2007 after 17 months, Bulb Blew Out with a BANG. Waited from the first of November, through the Holidays until the day AFTER New Years when they finally showed up and replaced the bulb. My problem is, now, over the past couple months, the color saturation is all messed up. No red warning lights, just getting worse with time. Dark scenes are a mess. Flesh colors look like a solarized effect. Very creepy looking. Blacks have red in them, and after running a long time, the picture gets more and more Green. In settings I reset the picture and set it back to factory . This helped a little but only enough to make it bearable to put up with until we can afford to get it fixed. Has anyone had this problem with the HP5880N. If no extended warranty what should I do next. Who should I call? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks
