Hi all,

I was wondering if there was anyone in the LA area (I'm in Redondo Beach) with working SDI equipment that can help me test my DVD player's SDI output and/or DVDO's SDI input?

I modded my DVP-CX777ES DVD changer but nothing is coming out of the SDI output (I think).

As I've never used the SDI upgrade on my DVDO before I don't know if the problem is with the DVD player or the scaler.

I was hoping someone would allow me to bring these 2 items over so we could test them by hooking a working SDI device to my scaler and/or my DVD player to a known working SDI input on another scaler.

I've run every test I could think of on my DVD changer and it looks like every part of the mod was successful, but no image is coming out of the SDI... I have no idea if I'm troubleshooting the wrong device as I've never used my DVDO's SDI input before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try PMing Gary Murrell here. He has done many SDI mods to players and he may be able to offer you some more tips or such for troubleshooting.

As far as I can tell, we did everything right with the mod, but it never hurts to get the oppinion of a professional! :)

If you want to bring it by Burbank we can test it on my VP50pro with the HD-SDI card. You could also bring your DVDO and I could try my SDI yamaha player thru it to see if your DVDO is the issue.
