View Full Version : Taking the plunge on a Pro151!!!? Or? NHTkiller 05-22-08, 06:16 PM n HDPeeT 05-22-08, 06:27 PM I think I speak for everyone when I say "HUH?". To me, it sounds like you think the PRO-1540 is the better set? The PRO-151FD is the new 60" Kuro coming out in July/August. The 151 will probably be the best "TV" (not monitor) you can buy this year. NHTkiller 05-22-08, 06:39 PM na HDPeeT 05-22-08, 06:57 PM OK, so now are you comparing the PRO-151FD to the PDP-6020FD? The PDP-6070 (there is no PRO-6070) is a 2006 model. NHTkiller 05-22-08, 07:33 PM na G-star 05-22-08, 07:52 PM So here it goes, what is better a Pro-151 or a Pro-1540? These two are the two new 60in plasmas coming out right? wrong. the 151 is the elite 60", and the 6020 is the non-elite 60" of the 9G pioneer line. ROMAN O 05-22-08, 08:18 PM 1540 is 06 model no way it would compare to the 151FD HDPeeT 05-22-08, 08:59 PM OK I got completely confused with all my paperwork from shopping for these plasmas over the last two years :o Sorry about all of that. So here it goes, what is better a Pro-151 or a Pro-1540? These two are the two new 60in plasmas coming out right? Here are all the new 2008 Pioneer plasmas: PDP-5020FD (50" 1080p Non-Elite) PDP-6020FD (60" 1080p Non-Elite) PRO-111FD (50" 1080p Elite) PRO-151FD (60" 1080p Elite) PRO-101FD (50" 1080p Elite Signature Series Monitor) PRO-141FD (60" 1080p Elite Signature Series Monitor) HDPeeT 05-22-08, 09:16 PM Here are the 2007 models: PDP-4280HD (42" 768p Non-Elite) PDP-5080HD (50" 768P Non-Elite) PDP-5010FD (50" 1080P Non-Elite) PDP-6010FD (60" 1080p Non-Elite) PRO-950HD (42" 768p Elite) PRO-1150HD (50" 768p Elite) PRO-110FD (50" 1080p Elite) PRO-150FD (60" 1080p Elite) All the 2007 and 2008 models are the "KURO" plasmas. They completely blow the 2006 PDP-6070 and PRO-1540 out of the water, thanks to a huge decrease in idle luminance (black level). NHTkiller 05-23-08, 10:17 AM na ROMAN O 05-23-08, 11:00 AM WOW! What the difference between the PRO-151FD & the PRO-141FD? Is it worth the extra money? http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1027097 take a look at the first page and it will give you a great idea :) |
