Can anyone tell me why Mass effect will randomly lock up on me. It seems to happen after I die and reloads or when using the transit it locks up there?

Sorry but I have nothing. I played through the entire game with only one serious issue. I walked into a tight rocky area that I could not get out of, needed to reload from a previous save point. Aside from that I didn't have any issues, maybe somebody else will have something more helpful.

sounds like the RROD are soon to be.

Try holding the green button on launch, at least until you see the logo.
(Clearing the buffer probably won't help, but it can't hurt.)
The game has no history of that kind of problem so you either have a dirty/scratched disk or a hardware issue.

You probably have a faulty disc drive in your console. Do you get frequent "disc can not be read" errors?

I had this when i played it, when i played i would take it out disc there was lines all over it.i would have to clean disc every 4-5 hours of play. it was only with mass effect my cod played fine.

I have not had a problem with any other disk as well.

Still having the issue...looks like alot of people have had it from what i can tell on the bioware mass effect forum...no true fix either....anyone else have ideas?
