I have a new 1150hd and also bought a HDMI cable from Monoprice. I am not sure if I have a setting wrong or I have a bad cable.
Here is the deal.
1. My Integra A/V receiver is 4 years old and does not support HDMI
2. I did a test and went from my Time Warner cable box-set to HDMI directly to the 1150. I also set the HDMI setting on the 1150 and used Input 6 on the 1150. Alsao tried Input 4.
3. The results appeared to be a PQ that was over saturated as well as very soft on either HDMI Inputs on the 1150.
4. I disconnected the HDMI cable and set the Input back to Input 2 that had my Component Video cables going from my receiver to the TV and the picture was very sharp-better than the HDMI cable.
I have gone back to the Component Video cable most due to the switching using the A/V receiver.
Any thoughts as to where I might not have the HDMI fully set up on either the cable box or the 1150 or why my PQ looks a lot sharper using Component Video?
Thanks
