I'm pretty new to this. I have an I1display LT and various software. I'm wondering why grayscale calibration comes before color calibration. If the grayscale is a balance of RBG, wouldn't an inaccurate color throw the whole thing off?

Grayscale affects all secondary colors (not the actual primaries). On a properly designed TV the color controls have no effect on grayscale. Therefore, if you want to properly set your secondary colors, you have to already have the grayscale set. If you alter the grayscale after setting your color controls, you may have to go back and set your color controls again.

Greetings

Everything affects everything. But in this time frame, the CMS on many TVs while available, just don't work as advertised. They may create a mess for you ...

So do Grayscale first ... save it ... and then go venture into CMS and see if that works.
