'Can't get these things to talk to each other! The sony upscaling player has a blue light confirming HDMI connection which doesn't come on; I've trawled totally through every conceivable setting on both menus, and Ixos Studio is evidently a very wide-ranging cable. The Samsung picture is razor sharp and I wouldn't like to jettison it. Any suggestions?

I doubt it's the cable that's causing the problem....Maybe it's an HDCP problem.
