Guys,

Is a DS1245Y-120+ a suitable replacement for the G70 original chip? (http://uk.farnell.com/1285407/semiconductors/product.us0?sku=MAXIM-DS1245Y-120&_requestid=260841).
I gather the Dallas chip has a 10 year life and my G70 is approaching that.

I know the above apparently works for a G90 but it's unclear if it's suitable for a G70 too.

Ta. :)

If it is the replacement chip for the G90 it will also work on the G70 (thanks to JohnW for that info)

The exact replacement in an 80ns version seems to be widely available. The original, IIRC, is rated at 120ns. I replaced mine last year with the 80ns part. Works fine.

Phew! - Yes it is the one for the G90 - having just bought four for the same number of G70s I was beginning to panic that I’d bought the wrong ones!

Thanks guys.
