I am planning to get plasma mounted on the wall by professional home theater installation company. I was thinking of getting the Monster Cable MP HTFS 500 before the installation so that they can install that for surge protection.

What do you recommend for surge protection for wall mount plasmas? Is this a good unit? Are there other alternatives?

If you don't already have an outlet behind where the plasma goes you can get a dual-gang power outlet with surge protection built in. Panamax is one company that makes such a device; there was a thread on this a while back in the 'Dedicated theater build' forum, might want to try searching there as well. I have always liked Panamax for their price / performance ratio; maybe I should buy some stock :)
