I have a BARCO RVCDS05 switcher whitch I would like to connect to my BARCO 1208 graphics projector. I am told the 1208 Comms port for 800 peripherals is the one that is meant to be used if connecting to the switcher but I do not know the correct pin outs for each end or if there is any Rx Tx crossover or handshaking, required. Anybody have any clues for me please ?

You want to use a straight through DB9 serial cable. DO NOT use a crossover cable aka null modem cable. Also you want to make sure that both your RCVDS and Projector are fully power off (use the physical switch not remote). There is 36 volts flowing through one of the pins and if you slip and it touches the wrong pin it can blow your controller. A cross-over cable will have a similar impact.
