I've recently found a factory sealed Panasonic DMR-E95 PVR, never opened and (obviously) never even powered up. I realize this is an old model, but it has a very good reputation.

Is there actually a market for a unit like this ? If I chose to put it out for sale somewhere, should I expect it to be snapped up or sit unsold forever ? I can't recall exactly what I paid for it - I picked it up as a close-out from Amazon years ago - but I think it was somewhere in the $330 range or thereabouts. What is a reasonable starting/asking price in today's market ?

There is definitely a market for your machine, if it's the hard drive model (DMR-E95H)
I've seen EH80's and 85's go for over $300 on EBay and I believe an EH100 went for
close to $600. Don't think your machine will sit around unsold.... a good starting asking price would be in the $200 - $250 range.... it all depends on what's available at the moment, and how many bidders are looking to get a Panasonic HDD recorder
(BTW a recent EBay EH95 went for $355 'new' in the box)

I have had very good luck selling "new old stock" items like this by setting a starting price slightly under my minimum breakeven and offering a Buy It Now option of 10% more than what I hope it would sell for. New old stock on some items is relatively uncommon, and there are always people searching for them. Not many, but often just enough who will gladly snap the unit up for the Buy It Now rather than risk losing it and having to spend weeks or months hunting again. Try it- all you can lose is a small listing fee. I would start at $250 and put a Buy It Now of $450: this was pretty much top of the line, and Panasonic fanatics should go nuts for it.
