Hey all. This weekend I purchased a Toshiba 42RV530U LCD. I wanted a tv in the 40-42 range, and was pretty set on an LCD. I like this set so far, the picture is good, and I don't really have any complaints, but I'm wondering if there is a better deal out there. I got the Tosh from BB, and will be getting the plasma there if I decide to do it. I was looking online at the Samsung PN42A450, the LG42PG20, and the Philips 42PFP5332D/37. Out of these 3 plasmas, which would be the best in terms of overall quality? And, would it be worth it to take back the Tosh for any of these 3? Looking to spend less than $1200, and it must be available at BB. Thank you.

Don't know much about those TVs, but this thread is probably going to get better responses in the Plasma forum, and not this one about new technology.
It is a shame you only have BB as an option, as the forum sponsers here can easily blow the prices of BB out of the water.
Good Luck

You should find plasma to have superior PQ to LCD. I have the LG50PG20 which is
very similar to the LG42PG20 and am very pleased with it so far. I am not really familar
with the other sets, but I have heard good things in general about Samsung. Panasonic also makes some good sets in the same price range.

You should look at the Samsung or the Panasonic.
