Hello All,

I had a question for those who have had experiance with mounting brackets.

I have recently purchased a tv stand that is equipped with a cantilevered mounting bracket built in.

(I would wall mount but it is a rental house and honestly not worth the time or effort of a full install.)

It says on the box that it is made for 50'' LCD/PLASMA up to 135 lbs. Now, LCD TV's either come under 50" or over 50"

Would this stand hold a 52 Inch tv of the follwoing dimensions?
49.9 x 4.3 x 31.1 inches ; 59.3 pounds

The actual size is a slightly bigger but well within weight limit.

The thing I wonder is if the stand will hold a tv of 135 lbs without a problem shouldn't it be able to hold one that weighs only 60 lbs?

If it is more complicated please help me understand this is my first flatpanel and I want to do the right thing.

The exact size of your TV shouldn't really matter, as long as it's within the weight limits of the mount. As long as the mounting holes line up OK, you should be fine with that mount.

Both the tv and bracket are VESA so they should line up.
