Using a Channel Master CM-7000 with a small amplified RV
rooftop antenna and getting almost all expected digital channels.
However, KNWS-DT broadcasts on uhf channel 52 and is
not captured during Scan or Update. It's power output should
be more than enough. I suspect the CM-7000 may only scan
up to uhf channel 51 which would be fine after 2/09 since
uhf 51 and up will not be available for ota tv then. KNWS
will be on a lower uhf channel then. However, I'd like
to get UHF 52 (DTV 5-1) now.

Anyone discovered a way to 'force add' a channel outside
of the CM 7000 menu's Scan or Update functions?
Thanks.

No, it scans all the way up. Philadelphia has several out of core stations and my Channel Master 7000 gets them all,

Nybbler, thanks for the quick reply. In looking at the relative polar
signal graph, I found that the channel is beamed to the NE
and i'm SE of the transmitter where the signal dies rapidly. I
tweaked the direction of my antenna and was able to
add it via the Update function. It shows only 20-30% on
the onscreen signal 'meter', but it locks in quite well. Now,
I can get 30+ channels (and subchannels) via digital. A
good thing since the cm7000 doesn't have analog passthru.
Nothing available via analog that I can't get via digital, so
now I'm a happy camper.
Thanks again.
