Hi!

I ave a question about running an HD source through my old-ish Sony STRDE-695 receiver. It supports component in/out, but I'm currently only using S-Video since my Wega is a 24", 2001 model that has S-Video for its best input.

Obviously we're looking to upgrade the TV in the future, so I'm wondering if I can run HD through my receiver. Haven't been able to find any info other than impedance for the in/out, it says nothing about resolutions supported. If I connect HD component going in to the receiver, will I have all those lines coming out the TV Out jack on it to put through to a television? I don't really wanna run a cable between the HD box and the TV if I can help it, since I want my receiver to do the video switching, not just the audio if possible. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Darryl

So it's going to stay at the same resolution once it's connected? That's good news, I was hoping the receiver wouldn't step it down to like 720 lines or something. Thanks!
