I have an Optoma HD72 projector (for now) and need to install it from a ceiling that is a little over 10ft high. I want to mount it around 8 or 9 feet - which ceiling mount would have a long arm that would work for me? I have not seen anything perfect for me yet.

I would also like the mount to have quite a bit of adjustments when the projector is mounted.

Couldn't you just use a 1.5" pipe? I know Chief uses this diameter, unsure if others do but probably.

Chief has pipes up to 6' long, you could combine two together and use with an RPA or RPM mount. I would suggest contacting your favourite Chief supplier or them directly.

I have a universal mount from eBay ($40ish) but were I to do it again I'd go to monoprice. I'm hanging down 18" from a 10-11' ceiling (I forget) and it's fine.
