My screen wall is done except for aesthetics.
Trying to keep a contemporary look and so the wife and I vetoed curtains.
Wondering what ideas people might have for decorations whether in fabrics, trim, etc. Possibly a proscenium arch design. We are looking for anything.
Right now, it's just a bit stark

Looks fine the way it is (although I'd move the two guitars). Don't you normally watch movies with the lights off?

Guitars are my 11 year old's idea.
Normally, lights are off, or just the sconces (barely visible on left and right) are slightly on (just a glow). House lights (tiny overhead lights - but bright - they are 35W each and there are 14 of them - 7 per side - are completely off).

My personal feeling is that nothing should be on the screen wall, except maybe some acoustical panels and the screen,of course. There should be nothing to detract from the movie experience you are about to have. I would think you have some light bouncing off those guitars.

Why not add moulding around the screen to make it look like a giant picture frame

I know their just Guitar Hero guitars, but you can get some simple guitar stands locally (Central Music, in Brockton is one place) to set them up on. I think that would look better and you can have the off more to the sides. or closer to the actual game playing area.
As far as the screen wall goes, I also think it looks good. I like how it turned out with the panel on the door and side wall. The only thing I would consider is an arch above the screen or something similar to the shape of your stage. Not as far out though so that it doesn't interfere with your lighting that you already have in place.
Good luck and enjoy.

I think I would go with the proscenium idea. Build a soffet or light tray above the screen, shaped to mimic the stage. I would finish it with oak to match the rest of the trim in the room. The color of the oak would provide some visual balance to the carpet on the stage below.
Great looking room, by the way! -- Paul

Yes - thinking more and more about the proscenium arch or related trim out. Have some think oak ply that I will cut into strips and play with visually before doing anything permanent.
Some for of soffit or the like above the stage could also hide some stage lighting.
I have a feeling that in all likelihood, it will stay as is.

As some others have posted, the screen wall looks very good, but lose the guitar. You don't want objects in your view when watching a movie.
