About to start googling around for possibilities...wondering if anyone's had any luck?

Not FINDING, USING! hah :)

I guess no one's RC'ing their mythbox from a bluetooth headset? Will I be the first?

I'll let you know how that works out for me...

I tried this years ago with an eclectic mix of a Dragon Dictate frontend on Windows that translated into a telnet or ssh (I don't remember which) window to give commands to a Solaris box for X10 control. Could easily be a Linux box, it was just used for its serial port to the X10 controller. To be honest...It sucked. Cool in theory, too unreliable in practice. Perhaps with today's more common noise canceling microphones it would do better but saying 'computer den lights off' 15-20 times if there was any noise in the room at all really made getting off my ass to flip the switch far more realistic. I'd imagine it's still terrible if you're playing back media at any substantial volume.

I'm thinking more along the lines of coming home from work with your headset on, walking through the den, and telling the tv to turn on and change to a particular channel or telling the music player to start up, etc. I think it's feasible.

Maybe I should just get married and have some kids :D
