So I have an Abyss in the front right corner and an Abyss in the rear left corner. My listening position is in the middle of the room almost equidistant between the 2 subs. The room is almost symmetrical.

The issue I have is that the rear sub is substantially louder and slightly boomier than the sub in the front. I have to turn the gain on the sub in the back way down and the gain on the sub in the front way up. The cable run to the back sub is substantially longer runs up the wall all the way back 25' and then down the back wall and over to the corner - total of 50'. The cable run to the front sub is only 15'. Both are Y out from preamp lfe. I changed out the cables to the front sub and same results. I originally thought it had to be a defective cable due to the difference of the sound.

Is it possible for the output to be that different between the 2 locations? They are both corner loaded so I thought the level and sound would be the same.

lol I wish bass worked that way. I cant explain it well but I'm sure many people here will soon. Moving it just a 1 foot or 2 can make a huge impact on the bass at your listening position. Having two equal subs does not double the sound when they are placed apart. I believe it is only a 3db increase when placed in two different locations. Stacking them should give you about a 6db increase :( The way the low frequencies interact with the room also affects bass. You cant just put the subs in the places you want and expected them to sound good.

The Subwoofer Crawling(just use the avs search) technique is a very good and easy way to find a spot were you like how the bass sounds. I hope that made a least a little sense. Im sleepy right now :D

If you have a large room and you sit in the middle, place your subs nearfield behind your seating area. I have 2 HSU 3.3's setup that way (4 feet from each other) and you get all the bass you want.

Sounds like there are some room issues. The old trick was to place the sub at your listening position, then walk around with a meter, run some frequency sweps and see where the meter reads flat. Then place the subs in those positions....

Seems to me that there shouldn't be an issue of whether it is in the front right corner versus the back left corner if the room is symmetrical. What makes the performance that different? Is it because one corner has windows and the other has drywall?
