i am trying to hook up a ps3 to my samsung lna550 (may upgrade to 650), but i dont like the options that samsung gives you because i am using the ps3 as both gaming console and blu ray and i like to have it as dynamic settings for games and standard for movies. what i thought about doing is getting a 1x2 splitter so i can have 2 inputs on the tv as game and blu ray but both being from the same ps3. i am not sure if this is the solution but it seems right. i also considering the harmony remote but its quite pricey for what i want to do and to be honest i don't even know if it can do that. so any help would be great, thanks.

It should work but it's an expensive way to not have to push a couple buttons on the remote (or define a macro in a universal remote) to change PQ settings on the display.

well unfortunately monoprice.com does not have 1.3a splitters, if they did i am sure it would be about 150 dollars less then a univeral remote, (harmony one or 880). they do however have a 1.3a 4x2 switcher. although i am unsure if these support 120hz and 24p
