Hello all. I couldn't really find the answer I was looking for so I started this. I have an Optoma HD65 projector and an Elite Silvermax screen and I was wanting to connect the two by 12v trigger so the screen would be 'triggered' when the projector was turned on/off. The projector's trigger is a DC type connector and the screen has a phone or CAT-like connector. Can anyone tell me how I can connect these or direct me to a link that'll explain it. I'm sure there's a link out there, I've just not been able to find it. Thanks in advance.

I ran into the exact problem helping my sister-in-law out. I installed an Optoma HD70 in hers, with an Elite Motorized screen. It has the same hookups yours does. I pulled a 3.5mm stereo male/male plug, and I guess I am just going to have to cut the ends off and connect a cat5 end that came with the screen on one end, and a DC end on the other....
If anyone can link or post a how to pictorial, that would be great! Specifically, which wires on a STEREO 3.5mm plug would be positive and negative?

if you need help with the 3.5mm pin let me know and I will show you what is pos, gound and neg. You can find them at radio shack that will alow you to make the conections. But the radioshack part does not include instructions.
I made one for my Optima hd80 then I realized the HD80 does not use the headphone type jack.
