I was getting a lamp error on my LT240k causing it to shut down and blink in the lamp error pattern. I could reset it and it would again play for 5 to 15 min before shutting down again. I sent it in and was told it was the lamp and to get a new one which I did. After putting in the new lamp I am still getting the same problem. But I've noticed that if I do not have an input playing; no dvd, tv, etc, and just keep the lamp on with the screen saver, it stays on forever without fault.
can anyone give me suggestions?
thanks

Hello,
It sounds like the repair facility is clueless. If the unit stays on when you're just looking at the splash screen you've ruled out a lamp issue. It must be something internal causing this. Maybe the main board?

Yes, I was thinking it probably is one of the boards. Any idea if it is something that I could purchase and replace myself? The unit is five years old so I'm really not too worried about hurting something.
thanks again for the suggestion.
