Has anyone had any success in playing DTS soundracks to play in any file container (eg MPG, VOB, M2, etc)?

Unfortunatly, I don't think the PS3's File Splitter supports a DTS pin out (it reports that there is no sound track) and I dont' want to re-encoded all my Music DVD Rips where the soundtrack was DTS. FYI - the standard MS supplied file splitter in Windows also has this problem so you have to use Nero, Haali etc (yet the DVD filters work fine!)

Thanks
Nathan

Can you not extract them to .wav and play them out of the PS3? Does it not treat it as raw PCM similar to a stand-alone cd player via optical or coaxial?

I have tested one by extracting the DTS track, converting to PCM and remuxing back in and it works fine BUT but I have '00's of these files (and it doubles the size of them!) hence any other ideas of how to play back DTS audio from files would be welcome
Thanks

DTS audio cannot be streamed to the PS3, nor a burned disk. It has to be an audio track from a retail movie disk.

There is no way around it. You have to bite the bullet on this unless Sony decides to permit DTS streaming.
