Stryker412 09-21-08, 12:14 PM Can anyone tell me why the Superfan online doesn't seem to work very well? I can only seem to get the Red Zone Channel to work. If I try to go to another game it doesn't change or nothing but a black screen. DTV = Digital TV, as in over-the-air. D* = DirecTV. Yes, there is usually a mid-season deal for NFL ST. Seems like the price is about 1/2 of the standard price, but remember you'll need Superfan for HD, which would be a total of about $200 ($299 & $99 = $400 / 2 = $200). indycolts2k6 09-21-08, 03:45 PM My Colts have been on our local station the first 2 weeks of the season and this is my first year having Sunday Ticket in HD. I didn't think for a second that it wouldn't be included just for the simple fact that I purchased NFLST. Then today I went to watch my Colts play the Jags in HD and get this message saying to contact customer service, so I call and they say you have to purchase the $99 add on to see the game in HD? Are you kidding me? I just hung up on the CSR, I was pissed! I called back and complained about this and let them know that I've been a loyal customer for years and that I wanted it for free. She put me on hold for a few minutes, came back and told me they would approve my request. For all who are in the same predicament and can't afford the extra $100, call DTV and complain. It worked for me. Ken H 09-21-08, 03:59 PM For all who are in the same predicament and can't afford the extra $100, call DTV and complain. This year I got week one for free. Haven't tried complaining yet. Does anyone else have issues with the pic being stretched (with ST, no SF) on their H20 receiver? My pic is stretched to 16:9 and switches from 16:9 to 4:3 on it's own...repeatedly at times. Very annoying. Called D* about this and got a run-around about turning off native on my "TV" (not my H20). When I told the CS Rep my TV had no native feature she said "All TV's have Native, you need to read your manual". Maybe now I have a valid complaint to get SF for free. Jeremy W 09-22-08, 01:22 PM Does anyone else have issues with the pic being stretched (with ST, no SF) on their H20 receiver? The H2x receivers always stretch any channel with interactive content. Barnkat 09-22-08, 01:26 PM That makes sense. Now that I think about it, the stretching began when they added the player tracker last year...still a PITA that they could not give me the simple answer. Barnkat 09-23-08, 02:22 PM FYI Just got off the phone with a tech at D*. They claim the stretching on NFLST is intentional. It is a "feature" that was added based on complaints that the sidebars were burning in on everyones TV. His suggested fix is to go to the setup menu and change the TV type from 16:9 to 4:3, just for NFLST. He was amazed that anyone would not want the stretched picture! Still no free SF:D aldamon 09-24-08, 07:09 AM The H2x receivers always stretch any channel with interactive content. But not the HRxx DRVs. Figure that one out. Jeremy W 09-25-08, 03:56 PM But not the HRxx DRVs. Figure that one out. The HR2x DVRs are programmed by DirecTV, while the H2x receivers are programmed by NDS. keenan 09-28-08, 02:13 PM I just tried the DirecTV Supercast application for the computer and it's pretty cool. Currently watching the NASCAR race on the big screen, but I can still catch all the games with this application. It gives stats, scores all sorts of stuff. I guess it's patterned after the Red Zone channel? http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/4945/sp3220080928114235copyew9.jpg Stryker412 09-28-08, 07:20 PM I just tried the DirecTV Supercast application for the computer and it's pretty cool.
