I was wondering if anyone was a private member for avsforum having access to the "Great Deals" forum. If so: 1) did you become a private member for the great deals forum, and 2) do you find the deals posted there worth the price of becoming a private member.

I have been considering becoming a private member and would like to get opinions on the value of doing so.

My membership expired a month or so ago but in answer to you questions.

1. No I did not become a member to get access. I became a member because this is a great site and I felt that I should contribute in some way since im on here so much. I will probably renew my membership soon.

2. There are some great deals occasionally but if you buy a membership specifically for that, I think you will be disappointed.
