So what i want to know is what the formula is for calculating the radius of a curved 2,35:1 screen.
Should it just be like this: radius = 2 x "distance between projector and screen" or am i totally wrong?
I know there's another thread about this matter but i couldn't find any formula in it so... :D

It is much more complex than that. It must be done with a ray tracing program. You can get the predicted pin cushion with an approximation formula that Aussie Bob came up with:
4.21/TR^1.910963
Or, the easy way is to just test it with the projector and the lens!

Well I'm making my own screen and would like to make it curved. Im constructing it outta 1/8 flex drywall so I really can't test it.
Is there no way to figure out how much of a curve to impart on my screen for viewing? I'm going to paint my screen with the DIY Black Widdow paint as discussed in the screen section.
I'm thinking of either a 105' or 108'inch screen (2.35:1 size)
thanks.

Thanks a lot person99! :)
Just one more question; should it be like this:
4.21/((4.5/2.7)^1.910963) = 1.5 m
or like this
(4.21/(4.5/2.7))^1.910963 = 5.8 m
The first one seems to be really unrealistic hehe but the second one... I don't know?
PM Aussie Bob for his excel spreadsheet for calculating the radius.
still waiting Aussie Bob for reply

Sorry, been updating the spreadsheet and haven't felt right in sending it out just yet.
What are your specs? I need throw and screen height.

I was going to inquire the same...if you dont mind ;)
My throw is 14.5 ft (1.98 TR) and a 50" height.
Thanks!
will it be ineffective if i just make the center and the two side margins of the screen equidistant from the lens of the pj? thanks

Stewart uses a std 40' radius if that helps.
