I am moving very soon to a new apartment from a house so I am trying to mount everything to the wall for space purposes and to keep things out of reach from my 2 year old. The room is set up quite different than I am used to and I can't think of a way to get this done(as the TV/AV area is in a corner). I have a Maxent 50" plasma TV and I need enough space for Onkyo Receiver, Time Warner Box, PS3, Wii and some accessories. I currently just have a standard tilting wall mount and a AV rack on the floor. See attached picture for my rough sketch of what the new room looks like. I understand I can get the TV up no problem if I buy a new mount that has an arm, but I obviously don't want to spend the money if I have to(if I do please recommend a mount), but that still runs me into the AV equipment issue and there is currently no shelving or cabinets in the room and I don't want it on the floor.

Thanks for the help in advance all.

Does that "niche" go from floor to ceiling? I would just build shelves that fit the space and install everything on the shelves.

That still leaves me with the TV issue. After further research all the mounts for the TV's don't seem to come off the wall far enough to make the tv rotate 45 degrees off the corner and be at the same angle as the wall surrounding the niche.

And yest the niche goes from floor to ceiling.

Mount a board at the edge of the niche that goes all the way across the opening. Then mount your TV mount to that.
