Hi, Loving my LG 50pg20 more and more.
Just wondering what settings others are using on this excellent set.

Personally I'm running HDMI for DVD and Bluray.

I have only noticed IR on Black screen but this goes away quickly too.

My settings are for HDMI

Cinema

Contrast 100
Brightness 35
Color 55
Sharpness 50

color temp mid
fresh color low
fresh contrast low
gamma mid
noise reduction off
Black level low (does'nt seem to affect image in hdmi)

Any suggestion others have from personal
experience would be appreciated.

I have a 42pg20, so I'm interested in this as well... +1

Contrast @ 100 is way to high. I would suggest you lower it to @ least 50. If not you are gonna see burn-in a lot sooner then you would like. Also if you don't have a Calibration Disc such as: (DVE or AVIA) but you do have a DVD that offers THX Optimizer I would use that. Most Disney Movies offer it, or most George Lucas films such as the newer Star Wars Movies

I have the 50PG20 and never run with contrast anywhere near 100. Typically
contrast is around 48, although occasionally if I am watching a movie or other
full screen content (no static images, no bars) I might temporarily adjust contrast as high as 60. The PQ is still very good at the lower contrast levels.

Sorry my bad, I was working from memory, when I got home and checked my settings Contrast is actually set at 80.

I turned contrast down to 50 percent. Just softens the picture down too much for my eyes though, no pop.

I then used THX calibration from the Star Wars ep iv disc.
Image seemed to a bit flat and Blacks were decidedly gray looking.

Anybody using Cinema setting??.

Cheers mate, thanks for posting your settings.
I will try them tonight.

Although I do find the warm color setting a little too brown sometimes.

Are you using HDMI or Component???

Anybody played with the expert color settings as yet??????:D

Both. HDMI for cable/blu-ray, component for 360.
