I was reading through the Radiient site and this forum and the reviews, and it seemed that going with the Select-4ce(basic, value version) was a no brainer.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/518845-USA/Radiient_Technologies_SELECT_4CE_Select_4ce_Four_Input_HDMI_ Switch_Repeater.html

I was thinking about the monoprice unit, but a few in these forums said there was handshaking problems with those units, and many recommended the Raadient. (I'll be using it for a TW HD DVR, 360Elite, PS3-80gig, and a Sony DVD player, all using HDMI, connected to the one HDMI input of a 34" Sony XBR960 HDTV)

But then i came across this review:

http://reviews.cnet.com/tv-hdtv-tuners-receivers/radiient-select-4ce-hdmi/4505-6487_7-32684380.html?tag=also

After all the reading in this forum last night(4hrs) and the reviews over the net(except cnet), i thought i covered it all.

Did i make a mistake with this switch box?

btw: I bought one of these HDMI cables, because i needed only one more cable. I have read in many reviews each HDMI is the same, is this true?

Here's the cable:

(I ordered this since it looks like the same type that came with my 360Elite and the price is very good)

TIA, for your opinions.

Guys i'll explain it a bit more to the point.

I read up on the Raddient, and it seemed like the best choice, but then after ordering it i read up that it could not handle deep color at 1080p.

Now my other choice was the Oppo HM-31, as it says it can handle deep color at 1080p.(V1.3 certified)

However, my HDTV is a Sony 34" XBR960(1 HDMI input). It was manufactured in May of 05', when HDMI V1.2 was standard.(for $$$ reasons, i can't upgrade this HDTV for about 2 years)

(btw: I'll be connecting a PS3, X360 Elite, TW HD DVR to whichever switch box i end up with.)

So please answer me this:

Since the HDTV maxes out at 1080i and since it's HDMI port is probably V1.2, i still won't even notice this even if i had the cables and switch box that handles HDMI V1.3 at 1080p.

Is this correct?

Because i like the Raddient for the one extra input and the design a bit better.

And it would save me the return hassle, and ordering up a Oppo HM-31 as well, which will run me more shipping costs.

And i love the Oppo alot(and it's cheaper if you add in the pro remote from Radiient), however i may just need the extra input in the near future.

TIA so much,

Phil
