My room size is 11' x 18' and ceiling height is 10.5' only.

My speakers are Triad Gold LCR.

Would like to know if number of Sub make a lot of diifferent? What's the different between 1 sub or few sub in such a small room? If I decided to have more than 1 sub which will be the best placement of the sub.

Thanks for your advice.

The long and short of that write-up is two subs is the golden number. Sure four is better, but it only smooths out the response a little bit and if you don't need the extra output, it's not worth it.

There are advantages to more than 1 sub. But, if you are on a limited and low budget, one better sub will, very generally, best 2 lesser subs that are equal in value. Of course, a sub's performance is not necessarily entirely proportional to it's price. But, for example, a $500 sub will probably outperform 2 $250 subs. But it is certainly possible for 2 $1000 subs to outperform a single $2000 sub.

Having more than 1 sub can also present some challenges for the novice.

you first have to ask yourself, why are you even interested in "extra" subwoofers ?

if you're looking for more output and you like the sound you're getting from your current sub and you just want more SPL go get another one and stack it right on top of your current sub (or right next to it) for an extra 6db of output

if you're goal is a "smoother response" at the listening position than the links mr. craig john provided are a good guide

of course there is no "one size fits all" answer to subwoofer placement

every room is different in size, shape, acoustics, listening position, type of subwoofer etc.

placement of your subs takes a lot of trial and error

I heard people say more sub is better and I thought of adding more sub and not sure does it make any different.
I'm looking for more output, so I think is worth trying with 1 or 2 extra sub.

Thanks for all you help.

Use at least two.
