I just bought a LG GGC-H20L drive and added to my HTPC. It plays BR movie fine with about 18-20% CPU usage. But I find the movie is not as sharp as the Sony PS3. I wounder is there anything that I can adjust to make movie shaper/clearer?

I am using Vista Ultimate SP1 64bit, and X1900XT with latest ATI CCC driver, set to 1080p dot to dot. TV is Sharp LC-46D92U at 1080p. CPU is Intel Q6600.

What software are you using for playback? I bet you would get a better answer in the HTPC forum. My gut says it's either the playback software or the video card that's the weak link.

That's right, the drive only relays the bits & bytes to the playback system...

I am using the latest PowerDVD ultra 8.0.1622.50 version. The PQ is just not as good as those stand along BR DVD players.

Then the other PowerDVD owners may be able to help you, but the other key for your PQ is your videocard as allargon has said. The PDVD thread will help you I'm sure.
