Ok, so what I have is a 3 bdr Very large condo in the Palm Springs area that we are completely remodeling. First off I want to install the following preferably but am open to any ideas:

1. 60" tv in family room above fireplace
2. am thinking about a 32" tv in bathroom (so me and lady can watch while soaking in tub)
3. 2) 42" in master and guest bedrooms.
4. 32" tv in den....

All tv's are preferred to be 1080P.

What brands are best to buy?

Is is smarter to just purchase ALL 42" tv's throughout except the 60" in the main room?

Does it make sense to get tv's with built-in directv or cable cards to keep the cost down for wiring?

Should I purchase a sound bar for the main room?

What should I do about sound in the other rooms? Base it off the tv alone, sound bars throughout, or surround sound systems

What do you experts recommend?

thank for all your help....

Any of the major brand TV's (Sony, Mitsubishi, Pioneer, Panasonic, Sharp, LG) should work well.

It's hard to go too big, unless you are trying to fit the TV into a certain piece of furniture.

I would go ahead and run the wire anyway if you are going to have exposed studs. Then you won't be limited in the future by the card you have in the TV.

Personally, I would wire for surround sound in your main room. You'll probably be OK with the TV speakers in the other rooms, but that is up to you.

You would get a better response if you posted in the proper forum. This is a forum dedicated to furniture, posters, popcorn, etc (accessories). Due your due diligence. If you have light control I would also urge you to take a look at front projection. It can be less expensive than a nice 60" TV and is striking. A 120" screen is FOUR TIMES THE SIZE of a 60". If you have room constraints or lack of lighting control thats one thing, if its just because you aren't aware of how impressive FP has gotten do some research.
