With Ben-Hur slated for next year in Blu, I did a quick CIH lens check to see if the Barco can go all the way from 2.76 to 1.77.

It can.:):)

You need to buy yourself a GPS with all those screens you are selling.;)

Peter, are you using the ol' photoshop, here? The black screen edges on this wall various across the collection of screen shots. So it probably isn't a wall consisting of DNP Supernova sheets.

looks like Ben Hur could do with some extra light. Seems darker than the other screenshots.

Ha!

Something Art said about seamed screens belonging in convention centers ringed true. This solution is a 2.76 supernova core dismantlement-capable Supernova 8/85 screen. I am not the first person to do a supernova 2.76 for BenHur (that Sam Runco has had in his kitchen for 3 years-giving credit where due ;)). This is however the first Ultra-Panavision Supernova Core screen (http://www.supernova-screen.de/Produkt_Pdfs/Supernova-Screen-Supernova-Core-Screen_Rahmenleinwand.pdf).

What they halved the original performance:

7 LAYERS FOR UP TO 10 TIMES MORE CONTRAST

This is however the first Ultra-Panavision Supernova Core screen.

Don’t you mean presidential you don’t have Royals in the USA we do!:D I have the first edition of Ben~Hur and was kinder surprised to learn that it was slightly cropped on the sides a bit and tiny bit on the top and bottom, that was until they released another version?

Don’t you get the feeling we’re being milked by an unseen force?:D

Well, the term presidential is never used in that context so I still need to go with royal.

As far as Ben Hur I don't think we are being milked they just need to put a team on it who really care about the film and have the budget. Even the HD copy I have from HBO I think , looks pretty good
