I can recommend the Epik Caliber, with shpping you are looking north of $800 delivered. You might also consider the SVS 16-46 PC Plus. This one will take you right up to your limit of $1,000 delivered.

I've heard different recommendation on SVS saying for HT, you don't need 16-46 where a 20-39 will do the job for HT. Any particular reason you recommend 16-46?

Check out the eD A7s-450 (one 18" woofer) w/ upgraded LT-1300 (1300 watts)

That can be had for $860.

EDIT: Only thing is that you will have to wait anywhere between a week to a month (probably) to get it after you order it.

There are some people who want response into the single digits, even if they do not listen to pipe organ music. Some movies have real response down to 7-8Hz.

Still, if you get the 20-39 you won't know what you are missing (you won't be missing all that much).

People are all over the place, lots of people like the 25-31 even more than the 20-39. Then there are those who want their sub to go as deep as possible.

Monetary and size considerations aside, my current favorite is the Epik Conquest. Partly because it has signficant output at 12.5 Hz.

I'm sure that whatever you decide, you should be satisfied.

Please tell us what you mean by "proper levels"? If you speak directly to someone at SVS they can advise you of the best choice for your situation.

Sometimes when you get a really good subwoofer, you start to wonder what you might be missing. That's one reason people opt for the 16-46.
