It's happened twice now.Tonight while watching tv in the lounge with the family noticed the power go funny for a few secs.I went to the hometheatre room and evrything thing seemed fine.I decided to watch a movie in the HT room and when turned on my system the pic did not come on my screen.I turned off my pre-amp and then turned back on and then it was fine.It happened before (but before I have to admit I did not see the power go funny). Would you say there is a problem with my HDMI in my pre-amp? I was told it happens when power goes funny or there is interference. My system is connected to power conditioners.

My system was a Pioneer BD player which connected to my pre-amp(denon) and then to my JVC HD 1(RS1).

Any help would be appreciated.
I could not find any literature of the problems of hdmi and what causes them.

What do you mean "the power goes funny?" Do you mean the lights dim or something or there is some other voltage irregularity in your power? That's a problem, and if it's causing glitches in the operation of the components, you really need to see to that before the equipment is permanently damaged.

Sorry I should explain myself better the power in the house went off and on very quick (blackout).Does not happen often. I have my gear connected to a power conditioner which keeps the power at 240v.I spoke to Denon today regarding about the hdmi and how it did not ouput video. It did after I switched the Denon off and then back on. They reckon with all this new connection being digital power glitches like I experienced can mess up the processor a bit he also said HDMI out of works or it won't if there is a problem.I don't know if it's true or not.It was on stand by when that happened.Just finshed watching a film and it seemed all fine.
