View Full Version : LG BH200 HT Screenshot Thread
allargon 06-09-08, 02:13 PM I meant to start one for all the combos, but someone started one specifically for the Sammy. Lucky Gee needs some love, too.
My camera is a horrible point and shoot.

VHS, HD DVD, Blu-Ray, HD DVR and Upscaling DVD recorder... Will remove the VHS player and replace with a media extender when they finally become feasible. (Will remove the HD DVD if LG fixes the 4:3 upscaling bugs and the HD DVD playback issues with the BH200--yeah right.)
Cool setup. :) Unfortunately for me, right now my BH200 is connected to my tube tv in the bedroom since I wanted to watch national treasure bluray (i dont have the dvd). I'll be moving it back into the computer room later this week with my 32" lcd. :)

I'll see if I can post some photos over the next few days.

500GB. You see that 622 down below that is its mate. I considered spending the $200 to bump up to a 722 as the 622 is the only silver component in my setup, but I'm not that vain.
nashou66 06-17-08, 12:35 AM This is the LG BH100 into a Lumagen HDQ at 1080p24 in and out putting 1080p48 to a Moome HDMI card in my Electrohome Marquee 8500 CRT projector onto a 12 foot da-lite 1.3 gain screen.

Thanks, to me nothing beats CRT projection. Not to start a digtal analog war, you just cant get that film look with digital. Fade to black where the room goes completely dark and you thin the Projector shut off just wows people. Also if anyone is serious about Video you need to calibrate the set. Grey Scale and Color Calibration for Dummies (http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10457) helped out a lot to get those screen shots look they way they do.

Wao that is one of the coolest TV stand I've seen. Congratulations!!!
allargon 06-24-08, 02:50 PM Nice sub, Guste! How big is that thing? It looks like almost 15-20"!

rveras, thanks for the kind words! I built the wall from 2x4s and then attached ultrasuede fabric panels with some heavy duty velcro. I'm pleased with the look.

allargon, it's an old Mirage PS-12 and although the cabinet is somewhere around 18" sq, it's actually a 12" sub. It's a bit muddy on the low end and I know newer subs can run rings around it - when it comes to performance characteristics, but for sheer bass it's great. Positioned in the corner there (prime sub placement for maximum bass output), it feels like the house is coming apart at times!

Question is the wall you built for any other purpose than looks (not that there is anything wrong with that lol), just Im curious.
Looks great btw.
bradavon 07-08-08, 07:29 AM Those are lovely photos Guste. I've been meaning to upload my photos.
Unfortunately my digital camera sucks in low light. Best picture I could get.

BallsDeepX, thanks for the compliment! As for your question, it was driven completely by aesthetics, as even with my low-profile mount, the television sat farther from the wall than I liked. The total width of the wall and panels is about 3 inches, which allows the television to sit flush.
Those are lovely photos Guste. I've been meaning to upload my photos.
bradavon, thanks for the kind words and an incredibly belated congrats on picking up your player :)

360_4_EVER! 10-23-09, 06:50 AM Amazing work, nashou66, but are two projectors really necessary on a 12' screen? I have a screen that is 122" (10') and one projector seems to handle it just fine. In fact, I normally have it on the lowest illumination setting.

What type of Projector? With a CRT its best to utilize the entire tube face. if showing a 2.4 blu ray movie your only using avery small area and squeezing the 800 lines into a smaller area. With work you can get the 1920 vertical lines in with timing alterations but it be less strain on the electronics if you spread the 1920 over two PJ's. also blending is great for those older 4x3 digital Pj's that have lower resolution than 1080p. So now you can do that, or with digitals and a 4k source you could blend 4 PJ's if you wanted to. These units have edge blending capabilities on all four sides. Slick equipment, but pricey. The 1:1 pixel maping is very nice also and does a great job. I love the BH200 Tv-One combo, very very nice. Also its just fun to be able to do it, kinda a cool factor involved. Not many Blend set ups in Home theaters around the world, Antorsea is working on a PC blend solution with Nvida cards and some custom programing he is writing.

nashou66 10-31-09, 12:13 AM i noticed something about my Lg BH200 Multiblue player, when it pauses it creates like a video noise which blurs the image a bit. I need to put the Lumagen back into the chain and use its freeze function the Tv-ones have it but trying to freeze two units at the same time is impossible!
well here are some Aeon Flux shots Enjoy :)

Is this something you've never noticed before? I've always noticed it since the dawn of DVD players. It seems that the pause display works differently than playback. I'm not sure why this is, but I've noticed something like what you are talking about.
One thing I'd suggest on the stopping on the exact same frame... why not do the frame advance until you get matching frames? I thought the BH200 could do this, but I can't remember if that's true.
